New Skin Care Sets to Check Out!

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Set
Kiehl's Ultra Facial Sets
The first sets I have to share with you aren't anti-aging (the next two are), rather these are gentle, universal sets that I think would work a lot of people with a variety of skin care issues.

There are 2 sets to chose from, depending on how much hydration you need. Both sets come with the Ultra Facial Cleanser and Toner, which I've just realized I never reviewed. Although I haven't used the toner, I did buy the cleanser a few months ago and it's actually the cleanser sitting next to my sink right now. It is gentle and doesn't strip or irritate my skin, easily cleaning off all makeup and rinsing off easily. I'm definitely going to rebuy it.

You have a choice of either the Ultra Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 (which is my daily morning go-to product in between product testings, I highly recommend it) or the more moisturizing Ultra Facial Moisturizing Cream.

Note that each set contains products that are under the TSA limit of 3 ounces (with the exception of the moisturizer, which is 4.2 ounces), so this is a great way to get products for travel as well.

This week I was told of 2 new anti-aging sets that have just come onto the market, and while I won't be testing them (I may have slightly over extended myself in the skin care testing area.... I have things scheduled for quite a while now), I did want to share with you what is in these kits. I felt it was pretty likely that my readers would be interested in them, and if nothing else you should know what the active ingredients will do.

Read on for more info.

Skin Nutrition Lunchbox, Super by Dr Perricone
Dr Perricone's Super line is aimed at those of us in our 20's that are out of the acne treatment age group and are starting to think about anti-aging but haven't really geared up to go all out (there was a great article about the line when it debuted in the New York Times). The entire premise is built around "super foods", which means there will be a lot of anti-oxidants to help prevent aging.

The new kit is really cute, and I'm tempted by it simply because I love the bright and colorful packaging. (Yes, I do get sucked into that stuff!) The products are available only at Sephora.

• Face & Eye Cleanser
• Detox Elixir
• Hyper Hydrator

Also: Hyluronic Acid, a potent moisturizer

Bare Minerals Skin Care
Bare Minerals has released a new skin care line, and for a limited time you can buy it only on QVC, where you can buy either individual products or pick one of two new sets. The ingredients feature the "Active Soil" complex found in the old Bare Minerals skin care products. Active Soil contains vitamins and minerals found in the soil that help encourage cell turnover according to the company. They've also added a lot of other ingredient categories that I love to look for in my anti-aging products.

Starter Kit
• Purifying Facial Cleanser
• Purely Nourishing Moisturizer
• Firming Eye Treatment

Advanced Treatment Collection
