Links to Check Out

So, during my week long absence recently (did you notice that? I was pretty much stuck in the hospital most of the weekend and then my pregnant self was too tired to do much except nap for a day or two afterwards while I recovered), I accumulated a ton of great things for you guys to check out. Posts to read... Contests to enter... And of course, shopping newsletters to sign up for!

First, I have to share my new favorite shopping resource! Shopafrolic is a great new site by Liz Lange (yes, she of the amazing maternity clothes) and her sister Jane Wagman (an equally shopping obsessed graphic designer). On their site they feature their latest and greatest finds in fashion, accessories and beauty products. They have amazing guest editors like Tory Burch and Lucy Sykes. You can even mail in your fashion questions to be answered!

I signed up for their daily email, and I have to say it must be evil. Everyday there's at least one item featured (and it's usually more) that becomes a bit of an obsession. Like the Design Your Own Jewelry at Kendra Scott, a tote from Barneys or a Tweed Weave Jacket at Talbots. Yes, Talbots. Everyday I want to spend a lot of money because of these two. You definitely need to check it out!

Fantastic Sams and Spiegel want to offer five women from 20 to 60+ the chance to participate in a photo shoot and be featured in an upcoming catalog! To enter (you have until Friday, August 27th) go to Spiegel's Facebook page and upload a photo with a brief description as to what makes you Fabulous at your age. The public will vote on the 5 winners – one from each decade (20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s and up).

ELLE has a great new feature on Makeup for Redheads. The gallery includes a lot of details on the best makeup looks for redheads with tips and tricks from celebrity makeup artist Rachel Goodwin on how to achieve each look. I wish this had been available a few months ago! I dyed my hair to match my roots, and it turns out I'm more auburn than I ever thought I was! It took a few days of tinkering to figure out how to complement my new look. If you're red or thinking of going red, you need to read this!

Relastin has a great poll on the Relastin Facebook Page. Just answer "What haven’t you done since you were a teen?" by September 13th. One lucky participant will be selected at random to win a Relastin Eye Silk.

Tända Skincare, the makers of the LED skin care devices, is holding a contest on their site to create a custom Tända. They want YOU to design the next Tända skin! To enter, download the tändaSKIN template and complete your design, share the story behind your design and why you want to win by September 30th. Voting began August 15th and will end September 30th, 2010. The winning design will be announced October 1st, 2010.

Welcome back-oh I remember those days (medicine and pregnancy). Funny, I view it from the vantage point of private practice dermatology and menopause-wow what a change. How does it happen so fast?

Lots of little Coach poppies grew on your margin, very fun!
