Quick and Easy Award Show Makeup with Cover Girl Shadowblast

I am well aware that the Golden Globes were a while ago. It usually takes a really great look for me to publish the "how-to" for the celeb look. Somehow posting a look that takes 10 different eye shadows doesn't seem to go along with the "15 Minute Beauty" name!

Regardless, a friend over at Cover Girl sent me this look a few days ago. I love how fresh and elegant Drew looks here, and even more I love how easy it was to achieve!

Here's how Debra Ferullo achieved Drew's look:
The overall look was simple and classic. Her dress was so amazing that I didn’t want the makeup to compete so I selected warm-tones for a natural, soft look.

First, I prepped the skin with moisturizer and then applied Dior Skinflash Primer to set the skin. Drew’s skin is so gorgeous that she doesn’t need a full face of foundation so I applied DiorSkin Nude Foundation on the cheeks to give her a dewy look and on select spots for natural illumination. Lastly, I applied COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Blush in Plush Peach with my fingers to add a healthy glow and defined cheekbones.

The look for her eyes was a pearly, iridescent, shimmer with just a touch of color. I used COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Bronze Fire. First, I applied the lighter shade to the inner corner of the eye, then the darker shade to the lid for a colorful smoky eye look. Use your finger to blend the cream formula for the most control. Drew wanted her lashes to stand out, so I curled them, then applied three coats of COVERGIRL LashBlast Length Mascara to the top lashes and one coat to the bottom lashes for definition.
For Drew’s classic red lip look, I applied Dior Addict Lipstick in Hollywood Rose #753.

About the products:
I have a few of the Simply Ageless Blush shades here in my house, and I've been meaning to post about them. They really are fantastic. They're a very easy to use cream blush that can go on bare skin or foundation (which I find is actually rare, usually over foundation cream blushes get cakey and won't blend well). They blend very easily and create a nice glow, they can be layered for more intense color. The color lasts most of the day.

I haven't tried out the ShadowBlast product yet, but I will be soon. I've heard it's one of those "love it or hate it" products, but no one has really told me why they love it or hate it. I'll let you know what I think soon!

LashBlast Length is one of my favorite new mascaras. It does add length, but I think it really shines as the perfect companion to LashBlast original. Together I get amazing volume and length! I'll try to publish a full review soon.

As for the Dior Products, I've only tried the DiorSkin Nude Foundation. I received a sample of it and wrote a review when the product was released, though the review was for Ideeli to use on their site (I can't seem to find a link for it, if I do I'll put up the link). Overall this is a nice foundation that blends well and is very easy to use. It feels lightweight and is a product that I would definitely use again.

I'd be interested in what you find with the Smoky ShadowBlast. I didn't have much luck with it, definitely in the "hate it" camp.
