A Foundation to Buy Over and Over: Stila's One Step

Ok, I know that I promised to be posting about items that I bought. I can't help it that the way I found out about this product was that it arrived in a box on my doorstep. Despite this, I have to say that I will be using this foundation from now on. It will take an absolutely amazing foundation to make me switch to another. I am going to buy this one over and over. I am in serious love.

Stila claims that in this little bottle are all of the products that you need to have a perfect complexion. Primer, foundation, concealer and powder all in 1 step! It minimizes pores, controls oil and is even long wearing. Truthfully, that sounds too good to be true. And really it is, but it's not too far off from the truth. What do I mean? I'll explain.

This foundation is like a very light lotion. 1 pump is enough to cover my entire face, and I truthfully just rub it quickly all over and no further blending is needed. The product evens out my skin tone with a light to medium coverage (it is buildable for more coverage, I just don't need to do this), and is basically invisible on my skin. I do need to use a little concealer under my eyes, but this is an area in which I like a lot of coverage. I do find that with my combination skin my t-zone needs a little extra powder. The product lasts all day and is so lightweight I can't tell I have it on.

While not quite One Step, this foundation is very easy to use, lasts all day, and looks amazing. I need a little extra concealer and powder, but less than normal and this might just be my quirks. If you're looking for a lightweight foundation, you might want to check this out!

Sounds like a great product. Curious if it has sunscreen. Thanks for sharing!

It doesn't have sunscreen. The amount of sunscreen in a foundation (even if the product states SPF30) is actually very little if you take into account actual use. No human actually applies as much foundation as they do in order to come up with that rating. Personally, I rely on my daily moisturizer to provide the SPF coverage.

Thank you. Yes I read that you need to use a tablespoon of sunscreen for it to work effectively!

I wonder how this product does on sensitive, finicky skin? It seems like everything I put on my face clogs the pores and causes breakouts. I would love to try it, but only if it won't send my face back to it's teenage years.
