What I'm Wearing this Holiday Season: Elizabeth Arden's Red Door Shimmer

Elizabeth Arden, Holiday 2008, Fragrance, Red Door Shimmer, Review
For quite a while I've been waiting for the time to write about this fragrance and for it to show up somewhere that you would be able to buy it. Finally, the planets have aligned (so to speak) and I can tell you about Elizabeth Arden's new Red Door Shimmer!

Meant to be a more festive version of Red Door, the two fragrances do share related notes (such as the Spicy Vetiver base note of Red Door and the Vetiver Roots of Shimmer), but do manage to create very different experiences.

For me the Pink Pepper is a light top note that blends well with the Gardenia and Casablance Lily notes, creating a definite floral fragrance. But, for me the sharp note of the Pink Pepper (which in this fragrance is very slight) somehow is very Holiday-ish.

Top Notes: Japanese Pear, Yuzu Leaf, Blackberry and Pink Pepper
Middle Notes: Gardenia, Casablanca Lily, Peony Petals
Base Notes: Tonka Bean, Red Amber, Fluffy Musks, Creamy Sandalwood and Vetiver Roots

I love this version of Red Door. Pick yours up while you can!
