Elizabeth Arden's 8 Hour Cream Vintage EditionsThursday, November 13, 2008
One of my all time favorite products is Elizabeth Arden's 8 Hour Cream. While I've never reviewed it for 15 Minute Beauty Fanatic, I've mentioned it numerous times, it's forever on my "desert island" product must-have list and I included it in an article I wrote for The Beauty Ideal, an on-line beauty magazine put together by the bloggers of the Beauty Blog Network.
This is probably the most versatile beauty product ever created. I use it on pretty much every part of my body, from my elbows and knees to hands, cuticles and lips. I even use it on my nose (perfect to soothe the irritation caused by using tissues during a cold). I have tubes of this stuff in my call bag, makeup bag and it is always the first item in my 1 quart plastic bag for my carry on during travel.
This year Elizabeth Arden is releasing different formulations of it in 1950's packaging! They'll be releasing different designs every year, and I can't wait to see what they come up with next!
Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick
This lip version of the classic cream is fantastic. It really seems to just be a hardened version of the original tube version. I love being able to just take out this lipstick to apply the balm rather than dealing with the tube of cream. It's incredibly hydrating and applies just the right amount to my lips. I could go on and on, but instead I'm just going to say that I love this product and you can be sure that I'll be keeping this on hand for now on!
Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant
Like the lip version, this is just a slightly different version of the original, only the consistency seems to be different here. This is a bit thicker than the original, and I love that it comes in a little glass jar. Somehow this is much easier to use for me than the tube of 8 Hour Cream. I finally can get out just the right amount of 8 Hour, rather than ending up with about 10 times more than I need. Yeah, I'm uncoordinated like that.
