Can You Find a Great Tinted Moisturizer For Under $20? Yup! Cover Girl's CG Smoothers SPF 15 Tinted Moisturizer

Cover Girl, Tinted Moisturizer, Review, CG Smoother
On the weekends it is nice to lighten up your beauty routine, both in terms of time commitment as well as your overall look. One of my favorite ways to do this is with using a tinted moisturizer rather than a regular foundation. Two steps in one and lighter coverage in one step! But, until now I've been unable to find a good tinted moisturizer outside of the department/specialty beauty stores. Not everyone has a huge Sephora around the corner from them, but chances are that you have a drug store that sells Cover Girl!

The new CG Smoother Tinted Moisturizer features the Aquacurrents technology, so rather than relying only on emollients and occlusive hydrators, this formula gets most of its moisturizing ability from the humectant Niacin. I love this idea in a facial product because the moisture is more customized, resulting in well moisturized skin but without the threat of a greasy t-zone!

This moisturizer does deliver that great moisture, but without over doing it. While billed as an option for "drier skin" on the CG Website, this doesn't over moisturize even my combination skin. Instead, it is light and easily sinks into my skin providing light coverage. Which means that it is perfect for the weekend!

As an added bonus this product has SPF 15 with broad spectrum UVA/UVB coverage!

  1. I use this all the time! It is a really good product, but for some reason CoverGirl no longer carries this product in Canada. Now I can't find it in any of my neighbourhood stores. It's not even on the CG Canada website anymore. Very sad =(

  2. Arrgh! Cover Girl come to Asia already!

Gosh that sounds so good. A drugstore tinted moisturiser that isn't greasy.

  3. I use this all the time! For some reason now CG has removed this product from the Canadian market; i cant find it in any of my neighbourhood drug stores anymore. Even the CG Canada website doesnt show it. Very sad =(

  4. Cover Girl has re-marketed this product as a BB cream now, but the listed ingredients are the same. I love this product (I use it every day!) and I am wondering if this product is safe for pregnancy as we are looking to start a family soon. Is there a list of ingredients that should be avoided during pregnancy? I am aware of avoiding Retin-A, Retinoids, and Differin because of the high Vit A content. I know that I should wear sunscreen to avoid melasma, but I'm looking for more guidance.
