Shu Uemura's Mesmerizer, Fall's Must Have Shadow!Tuesday, August 26, 2008
When I first saw the colors of Shu Uemura's Fall 2008 Collection, Instinct I was especially taken with the shadows. The dark purple, green and other tones just looked like amazing jewel tones.
I've managed to get my hands on most of the collection, and it is absolutely amazing! I'll be sharing some of the collection with you in the next week or so, but this shadow duo simply could not wait!
My favorite piece of the collection is definitely the Mesmerizer Eye Shadow Duo. It has a creme dark smokey purple as well as a powder metallic silver-bronze shade.
I have been using this duo all week, I can't seem to stay away from it despite the hot very un-fall weather we've been having here in So Cal. The creme is very easy to use, I actually find it quite a bit easier to apply than the MAC Paint Pots. Using a finger I apply the purple all over my lid, with increased intensity near the lash line and slowly fading out towards the crease. I then use the bronze-silver on the crease and as a very light wash over the purple to tone it down just a bit. Combined with black liner (tight to the lashes, not winged out) and killer lashes this is a smouldering eye that I have found perfect for every day!
