Shu Uemura's Instinct: Fall 2008Wednesday, August 13, 2008
This fall Shu Uemura debuts a collection from newly appointed international artistic director Kakuyasu Uchiide. Uchiide trained directly under Mr. Uemura and will be leading the creative vision of the brand.
Much like other brands this fall they are bringing us rich eye shadows (again with beautiful greens and golds!) and deep lips (use these lipsticks as a stain to transition into fall). But here the balance is with beautiful light blushes and a "luring powder" which is meant to use all over the skin to help awaken your complexion.
Luring Powder: I know that it sounds funny, but really this looks like a very light blush. Meant to be used as a highlight or all over, it will make anyone look more awake and less pale!
The shadow duos come in creme and powder formulations together. I'm not sure which shadow I like the look of best, but that grey in mesmerizer looks like a must-have for fall!
The Glow-On shades here promise to work incredibly well with fall's deep lips and intense eyes.
The crisp fall air makes me want to put on layers of clothing and darker lipstick! As things are just starting to cool down consider using the lipstick almost as a stain: apply with a finger, blot with tissue and then follow with a gloss or balm for shine.
