Shu Uemura's Fall 2008 Glow On: Pretty Cheeks to Compliment Your Fall Look

With the strong eyes and lips that I crave every fall, it's easy to fall into the trap of simply increasing the intensity and color of all of my makeup. Obviously if I did this I'd look like a crazy person (or like Bozo the Clown), so one easy way of keeping the correct balance is to use light, pretty blush. It keeps me from looking washed out, but doesn't look like I painted my cheeks a crazy color to go with my deep berry lips or dark smokey eyes either.

This fall Shu Uemura has quite a few really pretty blushes, I tried out Pulse and Lust. Note that Pulse once had that pretty gold flower too, but I couldn't help myself and basically started using it every morning the moment it arrived in my mailbox.

This swatch should give you a better idea of just how pretty it is on my skin! These are swatches that I went over a few times with a finger in order to really get a nice concentration of color (otherwise there is no way these colors would be showing up in a picture). The Lust shade has a lot of peach in it, but just a hint of pink as well. Pulse is mostly pink, but with a hint of peach!

I think that both shades are really very flattering, they create a light wash of color when I apply with a brush similar to #20. The color is subtle but definitely present and lasts all day!
