Lubu Lips? Could You Wear It?

Lancôme has finally found a new artistic director, Aaron de Mey. His first offering certainly is unique for lips: inspired by the red heel of a Louboutin shoe, he has created a set of red and black. This reminds me quite a bit of the red Lubu set released last year by China Glaze. But, while black was already popular for the nails, is this a trend that will translate for the lips?

This set will be very limited edition, with only 500 available in the US. It will be exclusively at the Bloomingdale’s 59th Street location, lancome-usa.com and the five Lancôme boutiques. The waiting list at Bloomingdale’s 59th Street has just opened (212-705-2886)

I'm not sure this is a lippie I can handle, what about you?

  2. I actually sort of like it, but I'm a frumpy suburban mom, so I don't think it'll go well with my capris and sandals. :P

  5. I'm going to try it - I figure that with a light hand, it could look spectacular on a night out with my husband. If not - I'll use it for Halloween! :)

  7. I think if you had very simple eyes, perhaps lined with black eyeliner and no shades, then this strong lip color could work. I really want to try it out.

  8. Hmm..dosen't Wet and Wild make a black lipgloss every year for Halloween? :)
