Lavanila Body Wash: The Prettiest Body Wash?Thursday, August 28, 2008
I had never heard of Lavanila until Saturday, when my sister in law found their display at Sephora. We were on a shopping trip to embrace her increasing girliness (She's girly, just not super girly. However, she seems to be buckling under the combined pressure of one of her best friends, me and her 4 year old daughter).
Anyways, before she bought many great items at Bobbi Brown she found the Lavanila at Sephora and the four of us (yes, my 4 year old niece was at Sephora, she was very excited about the shopping for makeup trip, I am corrupting her at a young age) smelled all of the Eau de Parfums. Actually, oohed and aahed over them is more like it. We were crowded around it passing all of the testers around amongst ourselves, urging each other to "smell this one now" and debating which was our favorite. It wasn't entirely clear which of the scents was the group favorite, though it was definitely clear that if Sephora wasn't jam packed that Saturday (darn those back to school shoppers!) all of the adults would likely have ended up with a Lavanila purchase that day.
As odd as it seems, one of my favorite things about the line was the packaging. It just struck me as incredibly beautiful! Each scent had its own color box, and then there was a sleeve of brown paper around the box which had been laser cut with very intricate designs.
I'm debating about which scent I'll be buying, though I think it will likely be the green box of Vanilla Blossom that ultimately comes home with me.
I was looking into the scents on Sephora.com (they have listings of all the different notes) when I discovered the body wash.
Ummm.... is it wrong that I want to buy the body wash just because of the pretty graphic on the bottle? I want that pretty graphic in my shower. And while I know it will likely smell just as great as the fragrance that I was enthralled with, I'm really thinking a lot of that graphic.
