Elizabeth Arden Fall 2008 Double Intrigue Eye DuosWednesday, August 27, 2008
There are a lot of great products coming out this fall from Elizabeth Arden (especially the new eye capsules and a new Red Door Scent, I'm trying stuff out now, so watch for posts in the next few weeks), but I do think that some of my favorite new products are these new eye shadow duos.
The duos really are beautiful. Check out the outside of the compact! It feels heavy and luxurious, and I love the heavy "click" that the compact makes when it closes.
The colors are beautiful (click any of my pics above to enlarge), and I think they work very well! The colors blend easily, are nicely pigmented and I had all day wear without any fading or creasing. I only tried out 2 different shades, but there are more available (all of them are pictured in the very top image).
The Autumn Leaves works great as an everyday color. I like to use the peach over my entire lid with a little bit of the brown in my crease (very light) as well as near the lash line with brown liner. The Peacock is a bit harder to use alone (obviously!) but I do especially like this palette as a quick pop of color with more neutral colors. The dark I like to add to a dark black or grey near the lash line, which I fade out up into the lid. The light blue is a bit more flexible and I have been using it on the inner half of my lid as a faint highlight. It shows up as lighter, but not necessarily blue.
These shadows are available now on-line, but also look for them at your local ULTA or Elizabeth Arden Counter!
