Bath & Body Works Black Amethyst

Black Amethyst, fragrance, perfume, review
I've made no secret of my love of all fragrances that involve Bergamot. I like it as a top note, as a middle note, and I like it to be mixed with almost anything. B&BW new Black Amethyst is now one of my favorite Bergamot scents. Really. Bath & Body Works.

I feel like I have encountered this scent somewhere before, though it may just be that the prominent mixture of bergamot and patchouli that I smell is fairly common. Even after the burn off those are definitely the most prominent notes on me. The Middle White Floral Notes then come out a bit more, especially the Gardenia and Freesia.

Top Notes: Bergamot Italian, Juicy Mandarin, Sparkling Tangerine, Zesty Orange, Waterfruits, Crisp Melon
Middle Notes: Lily of the Valley, Magnolia Blossom, Sheer Gardenia, Tuberose, Freesia, Peony Petals, Camellia
Base Notes: Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Vanilla, Musk

I think that overall this is a very classic fragrance, I'm hoping that B&BW keeps this one around for a long time!

Just one word of warning- it is definitely strong! One spritz will go a long way. This is the one you walk through the mist rather than just spray everywhere when you first try it out.

  1. The bottle on this is really pretty and understated for BBW!
