Argan Body's Aromatic Dead Sea Collection

Argan Body Dead Sea Salt Review
Sometimes a girl just wants to be pampered. While the name Argan Body is likely making all of us think "Argan Oil", that's not an ingredient here! Actually, I had the chance to try out the Aromatic Dead Sea Body Collection. There are a ton of products to pick from, so many in fact that there will be two posts reviewing them all (look for part 2 tomorrow).

Using this collection at home really is like transporting yourself to a luxe, ultra-exclusive spa!

Mud Body Mask
Now, I know a lot of products, different brands and lines within those brands at many different price points. I honestly can not think of another body mask that is on the market. I'm sure there must be one, I just don't know who makes one.

I've never had a mud mask on my body, but talking with friends who frequent spas for these treatments they truly sound divine. So, I had high expectations for my body mud mask treatment!

First, you should know that an at home mud mask on your body is a pretty messy idea. I wasn't sure what would happen so I applied and let it dry on my body while in the tub. This dark grey mud really feels a bit like silt (not surprising, as Dead Sea Silt is the #1 ingredient) and it has a consistency like thick sour cream. It smells a bit earthy with some herbs and mint thrown in to the mix (which I loved).

While this mask is meant for all skin types, I really don't recommend leaving it on beyond the recommended time period. Since I have fairly "normal" skin on my shoulders and chest (where I had applied the mask), I left it on for the recommended 2-5 minutes (ok, maybe a bit closer to 5, but you get the idea). This means that I did not wait for the mask to dry. It was easy to wash off, rinsing off pretty much completely even without scrubbing. I was left with nicely exfoliated and moisturized skin!

Silt (Dead Sea Mud), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Kaolin, Zinc Oxide, Fragrance, Hamamelis Virginiana (Whitchazel) Extract,Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, sobutylparaben, Cocamide Dea, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Dmdm Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavander) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Prunus Persica (Peach) Kernel Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Oil.

Massage Oil
A good massage oil has suddenly become a bit hard to find, as my former favorite was discontinued by Bath and Body Works. So, while I hunted for a while for a replacement, this is a search in which I had long ago admitted defeat.

This is a great massage oil. A nice scent (primarily lavendar but with almond that comes out later and a touch of something citrusy), this oil is perfect for a massage. It does stay on the skin's surface for quite a while for the massage, but it will slowly sink into the skin with time resulting in perfectly moisturized and only slightly oily feeling skin! Just be careful not to drink it, that mineral oil (first ingredient) is a laxative!

Mineral Oil, Vegetable Oil (Olus), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Fragrance, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavander) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange Flower) Oil, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil

Body Lotion and Hand Cream
I really like this lotion for my "non-heavy duty" lotion needs. I have mostly "normal" skin, but my eczema areas tend to take over my lotion buying needs (meaning- I buy thick heavy creams like Cetaphil and ignore the rest of my body. I end up either way over moisturized or just not using lotion at all). So, a nice light lotion was definitely a great find!

This lotion has the same great lavender with citrus scent as the rest of this collection. It's light and easily squeezed out of the bottle (yup, that bottle is squeezy, which I love! It makes application very easy), the creamy lotion feels very silky and you can just feel it sinking right into your skin! Within seconds there's no lotion left, just perfectly moisturized skin!

The hand cream is very similar in feel and scent to the body lotion, but it is a bit thicker. It lasts through several hand washings for me and keeps my hands incredibly soft and smooth!
