Cargo Plant Love Lipstick

It's easy to think about big ways to help the environment on Earth Day. (I'll never shower for more than 5 minutes, I'll buy a hybrid, I'll become a vegan....) But likely the best thing to do is to make small changes that can add up to really helping the environment. One way to do that is to look for products (and containers) that are more environmentally friendly. Usually the first product that comes to mind for those criteria isn't lipstick, but it should be!

According to Cargo, there are lots of things to make their Plant Love lipstick environmentally friendly:
It's an amazing innovation: a compostable lipstick case made from corn. (Yes, corn.) This revolutionary bio-plastic is not only made from a renewable resource, it's also greenhouse-gas-neutral, which helps us fight global warming. Even the box the lipstick comes in is eco-friendly. Just moisten and plant it to grow your own wildflowers.

As an added bonus, if you buy one of the lipsticks inspired by a celebrity's child (really), they'll donate $2 to St. Jude’s Pediatrics Research Hospital.
