MAX Factor Color Genius Powder and Blush

In December, Jake Bailey gave me a few products out of his kit when I was lucky enough to meet with him in LA. These products have become everyday staples for me, and I'm happy to announce that they are finally coming out! Sometimes these rollouts can take a bit (and frankly, sometimes your CVS can be slow), so keep an eye out for these products over the next few weeks!

Color Genius Blush

I've used NARS Orgasm blush for years (I swear it is the never ending palette, it looks new, I've used it nearly everyday for about 4 years, I think it will never run out), but I have been looking for a lighter, rose-berry tone option for everyday.

Enter Color Genius in Roses! (pictured on the right here) I love that this blush has 3 different intensities in the same color family. I can easily go lighter, darker or mix all three together depending upon my mood. I also like to use the lighter pink as a highlight. It lasts all day, and it blends easily, creating a natural and flattering glow! In addition, the pan is huge! It looks like it hasn't been touched yet. This is another blush that will last for years!

Color Genius Powder

Similar to the blush, these powders do have several shades in one compact. What is nice about this is that a perfect match is not needed. In addition, I really think that the multiple shades do prevent it from becoming too mask-like. The powder is light and very translucent. I do need to re-apply mid-day, but I always need to do this. The main difference is that with re-applying the Color Genius powder I don't look like powder is caked all over my face!

I started reading your blog about a week ago and I am hooked. I love this blog! One thing I have not found is a review on cosmetic brushes (at least I haven't found it) and I'm in dire need of a good set. Any tips?

The blushes look gorgeous! Although I tend to use all colors if they are in one palette. I'll keep an eye out for this at my local drugstores!
