Emmy Awards 2007

Earlier this week I published a little recap of Emmy Beauty, which came with a little help from my friends over at Olay! Today, the makeup artists Bruce Grayson, the Makeup Department Head for the 2007 Primetime Emmys, has some specific recommendations to help us acheive these same looks!

The Lips
In order to acheive the amazing lips that were seen on the red carpet, Bruce recommends a lipstick in a plum, red or pink shde. He recommends MAC Viva Glam V for its subtle gold undertones that really enhance everyone's natural lip color!

The Eyes
To help prep your eyes for this soft, lash heavy look, Bruce recommends starting with Olay Definity Eye Illuminator. This product is a great one to prep the eye area due to multi-colored MICA (now I know why that's added to Olay products!) which helps to hide imperfections. This also allows you to limit the amount of makeup needed in this area!

The Cheeks
To create a beautiful glow without too much distracting shimmer, Bruce recommends a cream blush. His favorite is Nars, The Multiple in Malibu, a great pink-brown shade that anyone can apply with just their fingers for a foolproof glow!

I think Becky Newtons makeup is the best out of all the lovely ladies.

I really like the lip color on Kyra. It's a more subtle version of some of the other ones, but I think that makes it stand out. Any chance of finding out the brand?

His tip about the eye illuminator with mica makes me want to try it myself. Good to know what rocks are doing in makeup!
