Kiehls Rare Earth Face Mask Review

Kiehls Rare Earth Face Mask Review

With my oily-combination skin, I sometimes feel the need to purge my pores of grossness, if you know what I mean. In the past this has meant anything from those Biore nose strips stuck all over my face (literally, using 1 box at a time!) to the Borghese Fango Mud Mask (In high school I somehow found a travel size at my local Meijer, the equivalent of a Super Wal-Mart, this tube was treasured and used only prior to school dances), to more recently my choice of the Kiehls Rare-Earth Face Mask.

This mud mask is a bit of a splurge, but since a little of the mask actually goes a very long way it works out in the end.. I put a light coat over my T-Zone about once a week, and leave it until it dries. As I wash it off, it feels a little rough, almost like I’m using a scrub. Afterwards, my face seems to glow, and my pores are much less prominent as they’ve been cleaned out.

Note that I’ve tried a lot of other clay masks, and now that I have sensitive skin due to rosacea, this is definitely my favorite clay mask for sensitive skin! My previous favorites, GlamGlow and Mint Julep Mask are both great at cleaning out pores, but if they dry on my skin (which they need to do in order to clean out my pores) then my skin will be red and irritated for hours afterwards. The Kiehls Rare Earth Face Mask can dry on my face and clean out my pores just as well, but my skin is not dry and irritated afterwards.
